silent path

digital painting silent path 2011 by Tomas Karkalas
This artwork is 80x69 cm in size - It is not large, yet the picture covers my whole life. That's the path of the thundering silent... Everything here is just possibilities (the visions of Tomas Karkalas). You may see as the scattered green spots as my stony path that leads me forward here.....
It would be fine to hear your opinion. What do you think about the application of the picture as my signature?

Lost in a spread of the color

I was looking at a color spread over my window and my paintbrush was moving as if out of itself. So the digital painting led me to the peaceful silence on the canvas that portrayed the homeland of the metaphors that were transforming all rubbish heaps by the road into something worthy the hot applause. Like the picture Photo Judgment on my art by Tomas blog
Art therapy gifted the meaning to my seeing the world, yet would my virtual crafts give any to you?
The question repeats the message of prior post chat overview - shares the same hope to be interesting and useful to you. That's all I can for today .The works of Tomas Karkalas are the knock on the eternities for today.

joy for show in sculpture park in Klaipeda

digital painting 'Joy for show'  2011 by Tomas Karkalas
The title of this post relates the picture (the overview of the heart) to the theme that was announced to the artists and will gather them next year. This painting points at sculpture park in Klaipeda indeed in spite of all its abstractedness. Yet I would like to expand these frames - to focus on joy for show (by the way, that too responds to the given theme if to ponder a bit deeper...)
So. The below was put while looking at the picture. Beauty of the flow of single spot into next to him humbugs into the forgetfulness of the whole picture. The way the colors spread on a canvas attracts the artists but is that not the delusion? Yes, the painting has the power to express the life, but can the paintbrush substitute the daily round? While looking, I saw lots of tiny spots but wished to introduce not the beauty of some spots but the magic of the light I am experiencing ...
Wow, the magic of color is above any discussion. Just look at the daydreamers on my art by Tomas blog . You saw quite different picture in spite of the same drawing, isn't it? As the Arthiker says, the fine arts wake up the thinking.

chat overview

You are free to recoil from the image below, yet it may be the fine arts, so is it worthy to hurry? Lets see

The above picture looks weary at first glimpse, yet it refreshes at once. That's confusing yet lovely. However even the famous artworks are powerless to replace the simplest chat on a street. The disappointed  canvases silently hang on the walls .... As I have written on "captivated by homeland hug" , the diary list (the message) and calligraphy (the perfection of outward shapes) are two different things. Which one you prefer? Why?

riderless sunlight

This painting has a story. I would like to share it with you...

Two buddies were walking in the forest. While one looked at the trees as the building material and was involved in the calculation of the imaginable profit, the other saw the heroes of his beloved fairy tales in each leaflet.
They differed in approach to life, yet they both rejoiced at the same picture. The riderless sunlight is above.

Due my health state, I put my eyes on a windowsill  and trained the eyesight to enjoy the mind travels.Such way life with some limitations became very adventurous - the continual guesswork.
What would be your response?

rescued art of Modus Vivendi

my thanks to Don Andrew from the Loop Connections for his help to see once again what was erased from my profile and the web by the hackers.

This slide showed the love that blossoms in the pictures of art therapy club Modus Vivendi in the hospital for people with psychiatric disorders (Klaipeda, Lithuania)
Silent shout of the pictures couldn't defend themselves but the help of Loop Connections rescued the wish to bloom from the death. Don Andrew sent me the link, where I can see the deleted files.
Now, we gratefully bow to Don Andrew.
The blog was erased by the hackers, but the love continues to address the world from Klaipeda.

cosy chat

It's good to smile. A smile is a good thing and therefore I like the cracked walls. They know the art of listening. While unbosoming  to the walls, you are always free from the fear to be interrupted with the counsels on how to live healthier and thus do not hide your tears.  Only the complete wreck breathe in each your word with real understanding. Such way the visually not attractive picks never hurt with the polite indifference but always comforts the heart. While the same sun shines to us all and we all are free to enjoy the light, the artistic expression of that pleasure has a cost that far exceeds the the work-less disabler's  possibilities to pay for the artistic materials. The wrecks know that and never judge any for the begging. So while looking at the wise walls my dark thoughts vanished from site at a glimpse. There is no wonder for I titled my photo the cosy chat. We both were visualizing the art showrooms that were inhabited by the colorful dreams in spite of the impotency to enter them.because of my financial poverty... Sorry for the sad ending, but this blog is my diary where I am free to question loudly what for do I continue to live? When will the Lord will take me home? Why do I need to face my inability to share my dreams and can talk just with the wracked walls?
Ah, lets smile. I can blog for a free. Is that not grand?

quick sketch

quick sketch
Quick sketch deals with the visual poetry and thus talks more than the profound complaints for the temporal hardships. That is fine art of being - my diary.

our words creation

The involvement in digital painting offers satisfaction, yet our words cry for restoration. That is why I love the artworks. The painting helped me to open the eyes. So I see my pictures as my alarm-clock.

the restored approach

The picture "is it me?" was put on a web (click on above to view it) Now my digital painting is searching for its viewers.
As I received no feedback till now, I should feel myself a bit confused, yet have a look at the photo below

You see not my grief but quite opposite mood here. Is that not strange? How such could be?

My grandson rescued me from an ambiguity of the musing on a meaning of the essence of self-portrait art.
We are going to go outside, therefore the smiles illuminate our faces. The photo reflects my heart that was healed from the freezing in the theoretics by the decision to go outside. That is the exchange of the guessworks into the love - the acceptance of the joy of the responsibility to care with what was entrusted to me.

in a city of broken glass

in a city of broken glass
digital painting "in a city of broken glass" by Tomas Karkalas 2011
It's new picture. and that is interesting. When people write their diaries, they do not question themselves what will be achieved by that. Meanwhile while posting my digital paintings, I look for some deeper meaning. Thus "in a city of broken glass" appeared on my blog now.
People  pick up what looks beautifully and hang that on their walls, I act likewise. Each time I identify myself with something from underfoot, I sat back in an awe towards the prophetic picture. Do you question yourself a meaning of satisfaction?
You may see this picture on my blog art mirror. It looks much better on a dark background.

layers of dream on Tomas' sketchbook

digital painting overview
Other pictures of Tomas Karkalas look a bit otherwise, yet they all belong to the same category of art.
If style of the paintbrush strokes mean nothing indeed, then what makes the beauty in the concrete?
Can the visual thoughts  be free from the quality of the shapes that compose them?
When I survived after the terrible head trauma, I was considered as the hero, yet the disability express some kind of weakness. Plus it's common to think that people are responsible for their experiences.  So what does express my digital painting the layers of dream ?

While looking from outside in, it became obvious that I fear just the shopping festivities (being alive and having a purse are too different things) But I am not the helpless. I can spread my diary and am glad to do that.
In other words, people with disabilities has something to choose too - they can push either publish or delete buttons. My choice was to stay in touch with you.

best intentions

I wished to say something with my each picture, yet the lists of my sketchbook received  quite opposite feedback...
While most best intentions met the dustbin, few drawings were more successful. However, where they any better indeed? I just put some of my works on a blog and thus they indwelt the Internet, reached the archives. Does that mean that the value of the work depend on its location?
Such conclusion would be possible (the digital files were more successful than the hand-made pieces), yet is it not ridiculous?

While looking through the window I was searching for the eternal values. The metaphors embellished my language, yet that beauty cost me plenty – the understanding of each other was lost and the silence replaced the prior chatter of friends in spite of the fact that they all buy the same flowers.

The hardships opened the store and thus expel a threat of a storm out of my room. Thus the forthcoming winter awoke arts and crafts by turning on the heating system.
The pipes are hot now - I‘m rejoicing  over my archive:
the digital painting Back to Beginnings wipe the thoughts about the decline of life out of my head
