silent path

digital painting silent path 2011 by Tomas Karkalas
This artwork is 80x69 cm in size - It is not large, yet the picture covers my whole life. That's the path of the thundering silent... Everything here is just possibilities (the visions of Tomas Karkalas). You may see as the scattered green spots as my stony path that leads me forward here.....
It would be fine to hear your opinion. What do you think about the application of the picture as my signature?

Lost in a spread of the color

I was looking at a color spread over my window and my paintbrush was moving as if out of itself. So the digital painting led me to the peaceful silence on the canvas that portrayed the homeland of the metaphors that were transforming all rubbish heaps by the road into something worthy the hot applause. Like the picture Photo Judgment on my art by Tomas blog
Art therapy gifted the meaning to my seeing the world, yet would my virtual crafts give any to you?
The question repeats the message of prior post chat overview - shares the same hope to be interesting and useful to you. That's all I can for today .The works of Tomas Karkalas are the knock on the eternities for today.

joy for show in sculpture park in Klaipeda

digital painting 'Joy for show'  2011 by Tomas Karkalas
The title of this post relates the picture (the overview of the heart) to the theme that was announced to the artists and will gather them next year. This painting points at sculpture park in Klaipeda indeed in spite of all its abstractedness. Yet I would like to expand these frames - to focus on joy for show (by the way, that too responds to the given theme if to ponder a bit deeper...)
So. The below was put while looking at the picture. Beauty of the flow of single spot into next to him humbugs into the forgetfulness of the whole picture. The way the colors spread on a canvas attracts the artists but is that not the delusion? Yes, the painting has the power to express the life, but can the paintbrush substitute the daily round? While looking, I saw lots of tiny spots but wished to introduce not the beauty of some spots but the magic of the light I am experiencing ...
Wow, the magic of color is above any discussion. Just look at the daydreamers on my art by Tomas blog . You saw quite different picture in spite of the same drawing, isn't it? As the Arthiker says, the fine arts wake up the thinking.

chat overview

You are free to recoil from the image below, yet it may be the fine arts, so is it worthy to hurry? Lets see

The above picture looks weary at first glimpse, yet it refreshes at once. That's confusing yet lovely. However even the famous artworks are powerless to replace the simplest chat on a street. The disappointed  canvases silently hang on the walls .... As I have written on "captivated by homeland hug" , the diary list (the message) and calligraphy (the perfection of outward shapes) are two different things. Which one you prefer? Why?

sleeping sunset

Sleeping sunset is the belonging of the shadow by the wall of a house in front of me. It looks at passersby with wonder, what was the cause for their movement in silence?
My digital painting may look like the meaningless abstraction at a glimpse, yet we all know that nothing happens accidentally. So what about this artwork is?

I too wonder at passersby and our move without "hello!"...Is "Hi!" not the most desirable discovery on a road? That's above.

The cast ashore

This digital painting is my road-map. The plasticine hero embellishes art by Tomas and teaches me trust in tales to endure with love.

our words creation

The involvement in digital painting offers satisfaction, yet our words cry for restoration. That is why I love the artworks. The painting helped me to open the eyes. So I see my pictures as my alarm-clock.

the restored approach

The picture "is it me?" was put on a web (click on above to view it) Now my digital painting is searching for its viewers.
As I received no feedback till now, I should feel myself a bit confused, yet have a look at the photo below

You see not my grief but quite opposite mood here. Is that not strange? How such could be?

My grandson rescued me from an ambiguity of the musing on a meaning of the essence of self-portrait art.
We are going to go outside, therefore the smiles illuminate our faces. The photo reflects my heart that was healed from the freezing in the theoretics by the decision to go outside. That is the exchange of the guessworks into the love - the acceptance of the joy of the responsibility to care with what was entrusted to me.

painting rescues the dreams

travels of a bug 2011

The bug was wandering on my window and I took a picture. We both were alike - the glass of the window limited us both : stopped bug's further fly and defined my horizons too. I say so , because living with the disabilities greatly limits all possibilities - exchanges the participation in today's creativity to silent observation of our being. Therefore I see my digital_painting as the lifebuoy : art enables me to continue to look through the window and thus the artworks rescue the dreams from complaints to change anything.

in a city of broken glass

in a city of broken glass
digital painting "in a city of broken glass" by Tomas Karkalas 2011
It's new picture. and that is interesting. When people write their diaries, they do not question themselves what will be achieved by that. Meanwhile while posting my digital paintings, I look for some deeper meaning. Thus "in a city of broken glass" appeared on my blog now.
People  pick up what looks beautifully and hang that on their walls, I act likewise. Each time I identify myself with something from underfoot, I sat back in an awe towards the prophetic picture. Do you question yourself a meaning of satisfaction?
You may see this picture on my blog art mirror. It looks much better on a dark background.

best way to awake

The picture perfectly reflects current mood. The weather looks exactly so at a moment. Yet does that mean it is worthy the sharing therefore?
art
The best way to keep the diary is to write it in foreign language. Then search for the words will open the dictionary, and thus the eyes will be opened in turn by the need to express the heart too. The abstraction - the concept of symbolism will take flesh and blood then.

That miracle happens each time I take my paintbrush. The painting and writing look differently only from outside. They both use the same spiritual alphabet.
This awareness enables me to see the refreshing beauty  totally everywhere. Now I am sharing with you not a digital painting but my my joy and peace that supports me by helping not to stumble while being far away from social highway.

rehabilitation of a sketchbook

Wise sayings are worthy pondering deeper despite their inability to burst into laugh.
So what do I do?
silent pass into silence - 2010 by Tomas Karkalas
I opened my sketchbook and didn't doubt ability of the art to fill currently empty sheets of paper.
As I took my paintbrush, I as if jumped over a time. The beholders will have what to look at when today's emotions will   will be put into shape. The ancient monuments always inspire  the viewers with desire to uncap , to bow to them... yet people rarely rejoice at a cemetery .
Therefore I questioned myself what is sense to hurry to frame the creative work and hung it on a wall?
My silent pass into silence looks like the shadows of a shadow at a moment. The picture looks abstract, yet its "no shape'' means the rejoicing over the memory of the light - the rehabilitation is not a statement but the process - the awakening to question 'what's that?'

garden of possibilities

digital
I know the flowers are beautiful, so I never bother what to paint.
Yet  my "artistic reflections" rarely remind the visual poetry. That contradiction may be explained either as the lack of talent to draw, or the question - have my reports the right to contradict to the paper's news?
usually, our dreams and social reality differ between in spite of the fact we all wish only good...
Therefore this digital painting tries to imitate the wet water color - everything is possible.
Irony too blossom out in the garden of possibilities.

silent longing

digital painting Silent Longing
It is good to paint. My paintbrush constructs the claims for being, and the statements compose the artwork - prepare the ground for art therapy. So the elementary school of listening starts, and Silent Longing joyfully knocks on a door to taste a sip of fresh air.

fruits of fate

digital painting Fruits of fate
It sleets. Therefore I color old photos and thus art by Tomas happens - the ordinary branch of chokeberry fruit obtained the title. You see the fruits of fate. Is it not prophetical? What is your harvest?

what's beyond Tomas' art

Digital painting allows to re-paint old sketches and look fresh in spite of the long hours of the creative work
Such metamorphosis allures especially at the approach of sunset. So while facing the spread of the darkness, I sensed the smile in my eyes - experienced the impact of art therapy to my being here and now: it's much better to burn with the desire to welcome the unknown passersby than to gaze at personal handicrafts. That is what's beyond Tomas' art. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

Last steps of the untitled

Last steps of the Untitled 2010 Tomas Karkalas
Here is my picture Last steps of the Untitled. What you see on a screen is much lesser, than the painting in its original size (80x60cm) yet some impression you will be able to get nevertheless. Hope you enjoy these visual thoughts. Those of you who are interested in more details please read Untitled...

Lost but Happy

painting lost but happy
Lost but Happy 2010 Tomas Karkalas
This is the third picture of Layers of dream. The composition of the painting Lost but Happy is similar to Last play and Layers of dream, yet the mood of the artwork differ from prior images greatly. That characterizes Tomas sketchbook ... in case the pictures talk indeed, what was silenced should be obvious to you too. If 'that' mystery remained, any further explanations wouldn't help too.
Hope to get your constructive comments.
